In order to meet this challenge, nations need to grow an ever-larger cyber security capacity: cyber professionals equipped with skills, tools, tradecraft and appropriate legal frameworks to defend Critical National Infrastructure from cyber attack. Building capacity starts in school, with children encouraged to study Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects from a young age, and to attain professional certifications and practical apprenticeships when they are older.
